Two Big Fish
Every year I head down to the Texas coast for an annual fishing trip with my extended family. Of course, it is as much about the drive down to the coast with my Dad and visiting with my relatives as it is about fishing. As my Uncle Dan would say, "Are you out there fishing, or are you catching?" We are mostly bay fishing for Redfish and if you are lucky, you catch your limit of two "big fish". That is, two Redfish that are over the legal limit of 28 inches.
This month, we have lots of great topics, but we have landed two "big fish" on AudiologyOnline. These are two areas that have the potential to have a huge impact on patient care and hearing aids, AARP and The Internet.
AARP
Many of you may have already heard that AARP will be working with HearUSA to provide a national hearing aid program. As with things like this there were many questions about how this will be implemented. AudiologyOnline was the first to sit down with Stephen Hansbrough, CEO of HearUSA find out more about this new program.
The Internet
As the world's first, self-proclaimed, "Cyberaudiologist", I believe that it is not a matter of if the Internet will change our profession and patient care, but when. I have been speaking on this topic for the past 3 years and have taken everything from my 1-2 hour talk and condensed it into a paper, Ten Million Reasons to Think About the Internet, Marketing and Your Website.

All of that said we have some great papers, submitted by our contributors. Take a look at the following, many are eligible for CEUs:
