The importance of interdisciplinary health care is grossly underrated. If a patient has trouble communicating, they will likely have troubles with healthcare regimes, following recommendations, and miss important information that allows them to have control of their own treatment options.

Very straight forward and reasonable information. Many people have hearing loss and difficulty hearing and I see younger people coming in with complaints of hearing loss and it is affecting their lives. In our ENT clinic, audiologists are the third to connect with a patient who comes in with ear issues. The first front desk, the second is the MA who calls them back and gets history. If the patient has any audiology related symptoms, they are sent to us for evaluation next.

Perfect communication. To the point, honest and had validity; which left me thinking of possibilities. First time the thought crossed my mind to do a hearing screening prior to testing, then amplify with a non-during the testing fitting process. I think it would plant a seed in the person with a hearing loss' thoughts how nice it is to hear; which in return would help increase the odds of the hearing aid owner to be a hearing aid user! Great class. Thank you.
