I appreciated Dr. Sharma's detailed discussion on the data presented. The visual resources provided excellent supporting evidence of the research shared during this presentation. This information will positively impact the way I present and discuss consequences of untreated hearing loss with my patients, their loved ones and community members.

An excellent course - I learned a lot about the use of cortical potentials to identify changes related to hearing loss and deafness across the lifespan. Dr. Sharma is an excellent presenter and researcher, and does fantastic work in her lab that is so impactful for our profession and the patients we serve.

This was fascinating information. It's so nice to have evidence provided to patients in a variety of ways. We have been able to show improvement in test scores and quality of life, but now we can also show the actual changes in the brain.

This was such an outstanding presentation regarding the practical implications of sensory deprivation and cross-modal plasticity. Very good data to demonstrate the importance of well fitted hearing aids and cochlear implants to ameliorate the impact of cross-modal plasticity.

This is the first time someone has explained the "work of hearing" in such a way that I feel I can better explain to my patients the effect of not treating even mild to moderate age related losses immediately instead of them waiting until they feel like they actually can't hear well, sometimes years after the original diagnosis.
