Lindsey Early has been a Clinical Specialist for Advanced Bionics since 2012. Prior to joining AB, Dr. Early spent 5 years as an audiologist at the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center in Augusta, GA, where she took pride in providing hearing healthcare to active duty soldiers and military veterans. She worked closely with her patients and their families to develop rehabilitation strategies to fit their unique lifestyles. Dr. Early earned degrees in audiology from the Ohio State University and Vanderbilt University.
Dr. Scheinin is the Group Product Manager for Software and Clinical Care at Cochlear Americas. In her current role, Bobbi is responsible for the fitting software for both Nucleus® Cochlear Implants and Baha® products, the Clinical Care Innovations, and management of the rehabilitation program. Prior to this position, she served as the Senior Product Manager of Baha Sound Processors and a subject matter expert for the Baha product line. With twenty years of audiological experience in audiometric equipment manufacturing as well as in clinical settings, Bobbi’s experience includes working in product management for manufacturers of hearing implants, hearing aids, diagnostic and screening audiometric equipment. Her Clinical Audiology work includes diagnostic evaluations, hearing aids, rehabilitation therapy, school screenings, community education, and newborn hearing screenings. Dr. Scheinin obtained her doctorate at A.T. Stills University in Mesa, AZ and her Masters at Gallaudet University, Washington, DC. She is a native of the great state of Montana and loves the Olympics.
David Horowitz, AuD, received his MS in Audiology from Adelphi University in 2004, his Doctorate of Audiology from Salus University in 2008, and holds an Audiology license in New York State. David has worked as a dispensing audiologist in both private practice and in the Veterans Affairs Healthcare System in NYC, and has worked for two major hearing aid manufacturers including Oticon since 2012. His primary focus is bringing the latest researched technology to the forefront of hearing healthcare.
Educational Specialist, Siemens Hearing Instruments
Dr. Meyers is a Manager of the Clinical Education Team for Signia. She is responsible for the support and ongoing training of the Signia Educational Specialists and for creating new and innovative training methods to enhance customer service. She trains staff and hearing care professionals in the U.S. on the company’s products, technology, software, services, and audiology-related topics at industry events, face-to-face meetings, in publications, and through virtual courses. She is responsible for the planning and execution of online courses, including The Expert Series, which reaches a growing number of hearing care professionals each year. Prior to joining the Signia clinical education team (then Siemens Hearing Instruments) in 2007, Dr. Meyers dedicated more than 25 years to clinical practice, during which she attained a comprehensive understanding of diagnostics, hearing aid technology, and how to address the communication needs of individuals. Dr. Meyers holds a doctorate degree in Audiology from Arizona School of Health Sciences and graduate and undergraduate degrees from the University of Nebraska.
Carol M. Hession, Ph.D. is a Government Services Audiologist supporting those engaged in the provision of hearing health care within the Department of Veteran’s Affairs, Department of Defense and Indian Health Services. Dr. Hession joined the Starkey Hearing Technologies family in 2006. She earned her B.S. in Communication Disorders and Psychology from Worcester State College (MA) and her M.S. and Ph.D. in Audiology & Speech Sciences from Purdue University. Throughout her career, she has held a variety of clinical and academic faculty positions including 12 years as a clinical audiologist with the Department of Veterans Affairs. Dr. Hession is actively involved in professional issues and currently serves as the Chair of the Indiana Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology Licensure Board. She has presented at state, regional and national meetings in the areas of amplification, adult audiologic rehabilitation, professional issues and electronic medical record documentation. Dr. Hession is licensed to practice audiology in Indiana, holds the CCC-A from ASHA and is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology.
Director of Government Services
Julie has been with the Widex team for three years and is currently the Director of Product Management. She has worked thirteen years in the industry and prior to that, six years within the VA system. She received her undergraduate degree from Ohio University and her Au.D. from the University of Florida. She currently resides in Dallas and likes kickboxing, cooking, and is a huge Ohio State Buckeye fan.
Director of Market Research
Emily double majored in Biomedical Sciences and Chemistry and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Western Michigan University. Emily began her career selling medical devices, but has worked in the audiology industry for the last eight years. She has worked with both hearing aids and audiology/vestibular equipment; and has focused in both the government and private sectors. Emily began her career with Widex in 2017, where her responsibilities as Director of Market Research / Field Studies include market research, field studies, competitive analysis, and the university program.
