MED-EL Celebrates 20 Years of Sound in the U.S.

We’re proudly celebrating 20 years of cochlear implants in the United States by looking back at one of our first recipients. Twenty years ago, Robert Z. became just the third US patient to receive a MED-EL CI. Last fall, he returned to Duke Medical Center to be reunited with the surgeon who implanted him, Dr. Debara Tucci.
