Global initiative on the topic of hearing convinced the jury with an innovative approach: Hear the World wins the International Sponsoring Award 2008 in the innovation category.
16.01.2008, Hamburg, Germany - Hear the World wins the International Sponsoring Award 2007 in the innovation category. The global initiative by the leading manufacturer of innovative hearing solutions Phonak promotes awareness for the topic of hearing, educates about the social and emotional implications of hearing loss and informs about available solutions for those with hearing loss. The awards ceremony took place on 15th January 2008 on the occasion of the convention of the sponsoring trade union FASPO in Hamburg. This was the 15th presentation of the award for outstanding and successful sponsoring projects. A high profile jury of experts from economics and science rated concepts from Germany, Austria and Switzerland on their creative implementation, planning and realisation. Hear the World was convincing with its innovative approach to sponsoring and the integration of strategically combined elements in a unified whole concept.
Hear the World is an integrated campaign, which links elements such as sponsoring, media relations, events, grassroots activities and corporate publishing. Music serves as a universal, all encompassing language, in order to positively transport the topic of hearing. "A coherent concept against stigmatism due to hearing instruments, with an innovative approach and credible testimonials", was the jury's assessment. "With Hear the World, we are addressing all age groups with the topic of hearing - as hearing affects everyone", says Vanessa Erhard Blattmann, responsible for Hear the World at Phonak. "Unfortunately, hearing loss is often only taken seriously when damage has already been done. Hear the World helps to create and promote awareness for the topic of hearing."
Hear the World receives prominent support due to official ambassadors such as Franka Potente, the German face of the initiative, as well as other international stars such as Plácido Domingo or Annie Lennox.
