Niels Jacobsen, President & CEO of William Demant Holding, has been selected as the winner of the prestigious Nordic Chair of the Year 2013 award. Jacobsen was honored for his contributions as Chair of the Board for Lego A/S, a position he has held since 2008. Under Jacobsen’s direction, Lego experienced tremendous development during the economic crisis that occurred in 2008, a time when many businesses suffered heavy losses. Prior to his selection for the top honor, Jacobsen was also honored as the Chair of the Year in Denmark. The Nordic Chair of the Year 2013 award was presented in Haavind by State Secretary Dilek Ayhan of the Norwegian Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries.
