Schaumburg, IL - April 18, 2016 – On the heels of the recent announcement about Tier 1 accreditation for Revolutionize Vestibular Testing in Canada, Audiology Systems and GN Otometrics announced that its long-running continuing education program, the annual VNG/ENG Course (known as “The Barin Course”) has been approved by the American Academy of Audiology to offer 21 Tier 1 certification hours (2.1 CEUs). It be held in Chicago, Illinois on October 19-21, 2016.
Dr. Kamran Barin facilitates this comprehensive three-day course. He will provide practical information necessary to make the VNG/ENG test, video head impulse, and other commonly used vestibular tests an effective part of the diagnostic process. The course begins at a basic level and proceeds systematically through more challenging topics. Each step in the administration of the test are discussed in detail, including instructions to the patient, effect of medications on the test results and identifying and recording of disconjugate eye movements. When combined with the 4-hour Head Impulse/VEMP Seminar Series facilitated by Dr. Kirsten Janky (October 21), attendees can earn up to 2.1 CEUs. Impulse training includes hands-on training using the ICS Impulse.
