(Lexington, Ky.) The Academy of Doctors of Audiology (ADA) is pleased to announce that Victor Bray, Ph.D. will serve as Co-editor of ADA's quarterly publication, Audiology Practices.
"I am thrilled that Victor has agreed to accept the position as Co-editor of Audiology Practices," said Audiology Practices editor Nancy Gilliom, Ph.D. "His involvement will ensure that Audiology Practices continues to serve as a premier resource for autonomous audiologists, who are dedicated to best clinical and business practices, and I look forward to partnering with him in this endeavor."
Dr. Bray, recently appointed Dean of the George Osborne College of Audiology at Salus University, has more than 30 years of experience in audiology and the hearing device field, including clinical experience involving direct patient care in medical and retail environments, hearing aids, cochlear implants, and instrumentation. His management experience includes executive staff, research and development, auditory and clinical research, regulatory affairs, and quality assurance. His publication experience includes authoring three book chapters and numerous technology papers.
"It is a great honor for me to serve as Co-editor of Audiology Practices," said Dr. Bray. "I have been involved in ADA for many years, and I believe now more than ever that ADA and this publication in particular will play an important role in advancing the profession of audiology."
Dr. Bray has co-developed approximately 20 hearing aid brands which are sold worldwide and have yielded over $1B in wholesale revenue. He most recently served as Vice President and Chief Audiology Officer of Sonic Innovations. He has also held the positions of Director of Clinical Research while at ReSound Corporation and Director of Audiology while at the Austin Ear Clinic.

Dr. Bray holds a Ph.D. degree in Speech and Hearing Science from The University of Texas at Austin, a M.S.C. degree in Audiology from Auburn University, and a B.S. degree in Biochemistry from The University of Georgia. He is the recipient of the 2003 Hearing Industries Association (HIA) volunteerism award "for dedication, expertise and effort in creating a structure that ensures the substance and the science that supports hearing aid marketing and advertising in America."
