The University of Florida is introducing short continuing education courses modeled after their successful Distance Learning AuD degree program. The first of these courses will be offered during Summer 2002.
These distance learning courses will include online threaded discussions and chats with peers and the course instructor, along with course materials mailed to the participants homes.
June 10 - June 28, 2002 Basic Auditory Processing Disorders

This course will be a beginning course in the fundamentals of auditory processing disorders, covering the basic science of APD, Identification of APD and Diagnosis of APD.
July 8 - July 26, 2002 Advanced Auditory Processing Disorders
Instructor: Debbie Moncrieff, Ph.D.
Deadline to register: June 24, 2002

This course will be a more comprehensive course focused on the actual diagnostic battery used to identify APD in both children and adults. The course will include the diagnostic battery, procedures, interpretation, management and future goals for research and assessment.
