Improvements bring greater efficiency and transparency to patient care.
October 14, 2014 - Kitchener, Canada – Unitron, a global innovator of advanced hearing solutions, is expanding its industry-first Flex™ program to make the best first fit experience even better for patients while allowing clinicians to better track the results of hearing aid trials.
Highlights of the expanded program include Flex:tracker, which allows clinicians to easily and efficiently track hearing aid trials using Unitron’s TrueFit™ fitting software. Flex:trial™ allows hearing healthcare professionals to send patients home with free trial hearing instruments, so they can experience the recommended amplification in their own environments. And for patients already using Unitron hearing instruments, Flex:upgrade ™ permits instant in-clinic technology upgrades as hearing needs change .
Since it was introduced, the Flex™ program has been widely adopted throughout Europe, with thousands of hearing healthcare professionals using Flex:trial on a regular basis. In Germany, for example, according to a recent global independent study of the clinical and business impacts of the Flex™ program, 78 per cent of hearing healthcare professionals report using Flex:trial with the majority of their patients. The same survey also shows t hat as a result of the program, a majority of Unitron’s customers also report a better patient experience, reduced returns, faster acceptance and an increase in hearing instrument purchases, often at a higher technology level.
With Flex:trial alone, more than 80 per cent of hearing healthcare professionals achieved an improved customer experience and higher sales percentages when the flexibility of trial was introduced into the consultation process. Full details of the Flex program can be found at:
