February 8th 2011 - Kitchener, Canada - Unitron, a global provider of world-class hearing innovations, announced today the appointment of Leonard Marshall to the position of Director, Unitron Australia. Leonard Marshall is promoted into this role from his previous position as General Manager, Unitron South Africa.

"In his prior role, Leonard was instrumental in building and strengthening Unitron's brand in the South African marketplace. He and his team put that organization on a fantastic growth trajectory," says Jan Metzdorff, Unitron Vice President, International Sales. "We are thrilled he has now accepted the challenge of leading our Australian business operations, and anticipate his continued success as he takes over the helm in this key market for Unitron."

Leonard Marshall has more than 20 years of sales and product management experience, and over his career has held various management and business leadership positions within the medical industry. He has relocated to Australia from South Africa, and will replace Kate Handley, who has accepted a new role as Director of Product Marketing, Unitron International Sales, based in Switzerland. Kate will oversee the introduction of new products to all Unitron offices outside of North America.

"The team in Australia has enjoyed impressive growth over the last three years due in part to a commitment on delivering exceptional customer service that complements our comprehensive and technically advanced hearing solutions," said Leonard Marshall. "I look forward to working with my new team to continue this commitment and to collaborate with Unitron's loyal Australian customers to deliver programs that support their unique business requirements, while building long term successful partnerships."
