New role underlines Company’s commitment to supporting customers’ patient experience.
April 9, 2015 – Plymouth, USA – Unitron, a global innovator of technologically advanced hearing solutions, today announced the appointment of Steven Eagon, Audiologist, as the Company’s newly established Director of In-clinic Success. Unitron has long believed in the power of nurturing personal relationships as a direct means to practice success: this new corporate role reflects the growing emphasis Unitron is placing on supporting hearing healthcare professionals in their efforts to provide an exceptional in-clinic patient experience.
Eagon brings invaluable clinical and non-clinical experience to this role. Most recently, he was Director of Learning and Development for Sonova Group, and prior to this was Vice President of Professional Services for Sonova Group’s Connect Hearing. He was also Vice President of Sales and Audiology for HearingPlanet, and for more than 10 years practiced as a clinical audiologist in hospitals, ENT settings, and private practice dispensing offices.
“This deep and diverse experience makes Steve ideally qualified for this critical role, “said Jason Mayer, Vice President, Sales, Unitron US. “He has exceptional insight into the patient experience and every aspect of the hearing industry. This gives him a unique skill set that he will apply to develop practical and proven tools and customized support programs that can be used across all in-clinic patient touch points.”
Eagon will help Unitron customers to enhance their patients’ in-clinic experience by, among other deliverables, creating targeted content across a variety of online applications, including social media. He will also provide industry leadership in business, marketing, sales, and other relevant areas so that hearing healthcare professionals may create a competitive advantage through in-clinic relationship building.
The creation of this new role underlines Unitron’s unique understanding that its customers’ success is a result of having access to more than excellent products. Continued Mayer, “Not only does Unitron offer ground-breaking technology – highlighted by our new North™ platform, and recently expanded award-winning Moxi™ product line – we believe in creating and delivering the necessary tools and resources to support hearing healthcare professionals so that they can offer the best patient experience in the industry. We’re putting a lot of resources and expertise behind this commitment to our customers. Steve’s appointment is an important indicator of this belief.”
Eagon will be based in Unitron’s US headquarters in Minneapolis. His appointment was effective March 25, 2015.
