Schaumburg, ILL., August 22, 2012 - Audiology Systems Inc., a national partnership of industry professionals, audiologists and local audiology and vestibular instrument experts, announced today that well-known industry veterans, Wendy Switalski, Au.D., president of Audiometric Consultants and Steve Nowakowski, president of Inter-Med Technologies, have joined Audiology Systems Inc. as partners and shareholders. Audiometric Consultants, based in the metro-Detroit area, and Inter-Med Technologies, based on Long Island, New York, are both long-standing distributors of diagnostic and screening equipment for hearing and balance professionals. Moving forward, they will be part of Audiology Systems, the new exclusive distributor for GN Otometrics (MADSEN, AURICAL, ICS), Intelligent Hearing Systems and Noise Barriers. As part of Audiology Systems, they will take on sales and service of these three leading brands in their existing territories.

"Wendy and Steve were among the first distributors we invited to join Audiology Systems," said Michel Jurgens, general manager of Audiology Systems. "They both have sterling reputations among hearing and balance professionals and share our dedication to raising the bar on customer care to a new level."

In addition to her role as a company shareholder, Dr. Wendy Switalski joins the Audiology Systems team as Audiology Development Manager role focused on education and training of the new distributors. Prior to joining the company, she has served as a consultant to Otometrics, a leading manufacturer of hearing and balance equipment. In addition to her role as president of an instrumentation distribution company, she has a private audiology practice in metro-Detroit serving both adult and pediatric populations and also serves as audiologist for the South Pacific territory of American Samoa. Dr. Switalski has previously served on the boards of the Michigan Academy of Audiology and the Rotary Club of Waterford and currently serves on the Advisory Board of Global ENT Outreach. She holds a master's degree in audiology from the University of Northern Colorado, a master's in business administration from Saginaw Valley State University, and a doctorate in audiology, from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry School of Audiology.

"I am excited by the opportunity to join Audiology Systems and become part of something that has the potential to really change the industry and elevate the way we do business," said Switalski. "One of the first and most innovative things we've done is streamline our product offerings so that we can provide very focused expertise on what we feel are the best products in the industry. We will take on a more consultative role with our customers so we can truly partner with them to help them grow their businesses."

Mr. Steve Nowakowski joins Audiology Systems with more than three decades of management and operational experience in medical equipment distribution. In 1998, he founded Inter-Med Technologies, the leading distributor for audiometric and balance equipment focused in the northeastern United States. In addition to managing operations for Inter-med Technologies, Mr. Nowakowski serves as a board member of "The Foundation for Sight and Sound", a not-for- profit organization, and is an active member and past president of the local Rotary Club.

"I was immediately impressed with Audiology Systems' idea to create a new distribution model centered on the concept of complete customer care," said Nowakowski. "Among other things, we're going to take accessibility to a new level and utilize technology to provide unprecedented customer support. This is an exciting opportunity to implement this concept, not only in the northeast but throughout the United States."
