Workshop Location
This workshop will be conducted at The Practical Anatomy & Surgical Education Center located at 3839 Lindell Boulevard, St. Louis, Missouri 63108-3413.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations received by May 27, 2005 will be refunded in full; those received after that date are subject to a $100 administrative fee. No refunds will be issued for cancellations received after June 3, 2005. The conference is not responsible for travel expenses incurred. In the event the conference is cancelled, the tuition fee and flight transfer fee (original receipt required) are reimbursable.

Special Event
A special evening has been planned at Busch Stadium for Friday, June 10, 2005. Included with your registration fee, participants are welcome to enjoy the St. Louis Cardinals vs the New York Yankees baseball game. Dinner is included. If you wish to bring a guest, there will be an additional charge of $60 per guest. Transportation will be provided. (Start time for the game is not currently posted.)

Educational Objectives

The last decade has brought with it multiple advances in operative management of the otologic patient. This course is designed to ensure that otolaryngologists have at their disposal the latest techniques and are familiar with state-of-the-art management options. It will provide the
opportunity for surgeons to enhance their skills in a variety of surgical approaches to the ear, temporal bone and skull base. By completing this workshop the participants will have an excellent understanding of the following:

  • middle ear endoscopy and inner ear drug delivery
  • stapedectomy and stapedectomy minus prosthesis (STAMP)
  • surgery for vertigo
  • cochlear implants
  • osteointegrated implants
  • semicircular canal dehiscence management
  • middle fossa, translabyrinthine and suboccipital approaches to the skull base
