Phonak Infinio - Unlock a world of possibilities

Supports French Sculptress Julie Marcombes to Raise Awareness for the Topic of Hearing

Share:
22.03.2007, Paris, France - Within the scope of the Hear the World initiative that aims to raise awareness for the importance of hearing and the consequences of hearing loss, Phonak - a leading manufacturer of high-tech hearing systems - supports the work of Julie Marcombes. The French sculptress exhibits her latest art on hearing on March 22 - 30, 2007, at the Galerie Osenat in Paris.

Art is a highly effective medium to spread the message of Hear the World, since it addresses our senses and emotions. Through Julie Marcombes's artwork that humorously displays representations of the ear, Hear the World and the artist want to draw the general public's attention to the importance of hearing. Wearing a hearing system - still a taboo today - needs to become acceptable. After all, it is the best solution to compensate for hearing loss and to lead an active social life.

"Through this ethical project, that incorporates art - imaginarily and directly - I want to evoke emotions and render deafness perceptible to hearing people. The support from the Hear the World initiative gives my message more power and impact", says Julie Marcombes.
