The 2005 Starkey First Student Outreach Program offers audiology students a three-day interactive workshop and up to $50,000 in annual scholarships for graduate students.

The August 4-6 student workshop will be offered at the company's new William F. Austin Education Center in Eden Prairie, Minn. The workshop provides insight into all aspects of hearing instrument technology, selection, manufacturing, fitting, verification and patient management.
Workshop guest speakers Todd Ricketts, Ph.D., CCC-A of Vanderbilt University and Robert Sweetow, Ph.D. of the University of California, San Francisco will share their expertise and interact with participants. Both are well known for their contributions to hearing research.
The 2005 William F. Austin Scholarship offers up to five $10,000 scholarships for graduate students pursuing clinical, teaching and research careers in audiology. Scholarship recipients will be announced at the 2005 workshop.
