Starkey Opens First-Ever Office in Barcelona, Spain

Eden Prairie, Minnesota (January 20, 2022) – Starkey, the largest American-owned hearing aid manufacturer, has opened a brand-new office in Barcelona, Spain. The new facility is located on the 27th floor of the Torre Glòries building – a 38 story skyscraper which marks the gateway to the new technological district of Barcelona.

"We are excited to continue the expansion of Starkey’s global footprint with our newest facility in Spain,” said Brandon Sawalich, President and CEO of Starkey. “The new team brings a deep knowledge of the hearing healthcare industry, as well as expertise in customer service and operations, that will help drive shared success with our customers in the Spanish market for years to come.”

With more than 10 years of sales and marketing experience leading teams within the medical device industry, the new facility is led by General Manager Jokin Garmendia. Luis Sanz has also joined the team as Regional Business Development Director. Sanz has over 20 years of experience in the hearing healthcare industry and has held chief executive and other executive-level positions within wholesale and retail hearing healthcare organizations. With over 30 years of industry experience, Salvador Conde serves as Sales Representative for the team. Additionally, Suyin Aranibar is the Office Manager for Starkey Spain. In this role, Aranibar is a member of the Spain wholesale team and assists the new facility with administration, operation, and commercial support.
