Eden Prairie, Minnesota (May 27, 2021) – Starkey is proud to celebrate Better Hearing Month this May by launching Starkey Cares, a corporate social responsibility program aimed at making hearing health care more accessible to patients in need. This month, Starkey’s Center for Excellence provided hearing healthcare services and brand new hearing aids to frontline healthcare workers as a thank you for their service throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as almost 40 other individuals in need of hearing health care. Held in Starkey’s global headquarters, this marks the beginning of the program, which will continue to expand in reach over the course of the summer.
“Starkey Cares is our ongoing public commitment to corporate social responsibility designed to bring us together under the common bond of caring for one another and reconnecting back to our communities,” said Starkey President and CEO Brandon Sawalich. “At Starkey, caring is at the core of everything we do. It’s our “why” and something that Bill Austin has weaved into every area of our company, our work with patients, customers and our employees.”
“It has been a difficult year for many people, with great changes impacting them in ways they never could have imagined,” said Starkey Chairman Bill Austin. “One thing that hasn’t changed is Starkey’s commitment to giving the gift of hearing to those with hearing loss, regardless of life’s circumstances. Together, through Starkey Cares, we will continue to advance the spirit of giving back that Starkey is known for in the decades to come.”
