William F. Austin Scholarship and Outstanding Student Clinician Awards Announced
Minneapolis, Sept. 9, 2008 - Starkey Laboratories, Inc., one of the world's leading hearing technology companies, is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2008 William F. Austin Scholarship and the Outstanding Student Clinician Awards, which are awarded annually. The winners were chosen from among nearly 100 national applicants to receive academic scholarships of up to $10,000.

Starkey Laboratories is dedicated to professional advancement through education. Its William F. Austin Scholarship recognizes outstanding audiology graduate students pursuing clinical, teaching and research careers in audiology. This year's scholarship recipients are Brian Vesely, Missouri State University;Jonathon Whitton, University of Louisville;Maureen D'Antuono, University of Maryland;Kelli Wright, University of Akron and Kelly Hoffard, University of Maryland.
Starkey also provides 10 Outstanding Student Clinician scholarships to students pursuing careers in clinical audiology and private practice. This year's recipients are Amanda Bullard, University of Oklahoma;Christina Dambra, State University of New York at Buffalo;Kate Foenander, Lamar University;Leslie Herr, Arizona State University;Bria Johnson, University of Maryland;Douglas Steinberg, Rush University;Karin Woods, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign;Kirstin Luffler, University of Akron;Eileen Cremering, University of Cincinnati;Larissa Mann, Central Michigan University.
