Save the Date: Event Scheduled for June 2009
Minneapolis, Nov. 24, 2008 - Starkey Laboratories, Inc., a world leader in hearing technology, has announced that it will be the title sponsor of the revitalized 2009 Jackson Hole Rendezvous. The event, based on a meeting by the same name that was discontinued in 2004, will take place at The Wort Hotel June 18-20, 2009. As the Jackson Hole Meeting tradition dictates, the conference will focus on hearing aid technology complete with cutting-edge research, the newest clinical applications and updates on amplification technology and hearing rehabilitation.
"We are excited to re-create this prestigious meeting and offer hearing professionals a way to connect with each other and industry trends," said Barry Freeman, Director of Education and Training for Starkey. "We look forward to resurrecting the tradition of the Rendezvous within the beautiful backdrop of Jackson Hole."
The Jackson Hole Rendezvous - a combination of high level educational programming and social events - was a successful annual event for 25 years. The first meeting was held in 1979 and the last in 2004, all in Jackson Hole, Wyo. Michael Marion was the organizer of the original events and will again share his expertise for the 2009 event. In addition to Barry Freeman and Michael Marion, the organizing committee consists of Lucille Beck, Dave Fabry, Jerry Northern, Catherine Palmer and Dennis Van Vliet.
The program will feature invited keynote speakers as well as contributed papers. Watch for future communication about registering for the event.
