Starkey Laboratories Announces Hire of Dr. Patricia Gans as Regional Sales Director for Starkey South

New Director Brings Wealth of Knowledge and Expertise to Position

Minneapolis, Oct. 9, 2008 - Starkey Laboratories, Inc., one of the world's leading hearing technology companies, is pleased to announce the addition of Patricia Gans, Au.D. to the roster as a regional sales director for Florida. A co-founder of the American Institute of Balance, Gans boasts an extensive career as a medical audiologist with wide-ranging experience in vestibular and hearing disorders and treatment both in Massachusetts and Florida.

Gans has served as a clinical supervisor in otolaryngology and private practice settings, as well as the Au.D. programs at the University of South Florida and Nova Southeastern University. She was a member of the inaugural Au.D. graduating class at the University of Florida and received her Master's degree from Northeastern University in Boston, Mass. Gans is a charter member of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA) and the Florida Academy of Audiology (FLAA), which she has served as president.
