Halo Hearing Aid Wins Healthcare Category.
MINNEAPOLIS, Nov. 18, 2014 - The Minnesota High Tech Association (MHTA) has named Starkey Hearing Technologies’ Halo™ hearing aid as the 2014 Tekne Award winner in the healthcare award category. Held November 13 at the Minneapolis Convention Center, the Tekne Awards honor companies and individuals who have played a significant role in developing new technologies that positively impact the lives and futures of people living around the world.
Halo is a Made for iPhone® hearing aid engineered to seamlessly coexist with the iPhone, iPad® and iPod touch®. It combines Starkey Hearing Technologies' hearing technology with Apple®'s iOS to deliver a revolutionary solution that enhances everyday aspects of life – from conversations to phone calls to music.

Tekne Awards were presented to 12 of Minnesota’s most influential companies in technological innovation, development, commercialization and management. One of the 12 categories included separate awards for small and growing businesses (with annual revenues under $50 million) and established businesses (with annual revenues of $50 million or more).
