Starkey Hearing Technologies in conjunction with Widex-USA, Inc. have announced that they are providing $160,000 to the Accreditation Commission for Audiology Education (ACAE) over the next 3 years (2014-2016), as part of their recognition of the important role that ACAE accreditation plays in raising the bar in audiology education. The leadership of both organizations stated that they welcome the opportunity to support ACAE.
The ACAE Board of Directors expresses its gratitude and appreciation to these two manufacturing companies and commends them for their commitment to promoting the highest quality in audiology education and the profession. The funds will be used in a variety of areas, such as: providing grants to programs wanting to apply to ACAE, ongoing upgraded training of Site Evaluators for on-site evaluations and ongoing development of the infrastructure in ACAE's new web-based platform, the first to be used in accreditation.
