Invisible Solutions Recognized for Second Consecutive Year.
MINNEAPOLIS - March 14, 2012 - Starkey Hearing Technologies, one of the world's leading hearing technology companies, is proud that its AMP® hearing aid has been honored with a red dot award: product design 2012. This is the second year Starkey Hearing Technologies has won, having received the award last year for its SoundLens™ hearing aid. The red dot design award is one of the most renowned international product competitions in the world. Companies from all over the world took part in the awards, submitting a total of 4,515 entries.
"Winning a red dot award is truly an honor," said Jerry Ruzicka, President of Starkey Hearing Technologies. "We are proud to offer AMP as an option to move people toward getting hearing help faster."
AMP is the hearing aid for people who feel they are not ready to wear a hearing aid. Many are reluctant to consider hearing aids because they do not want to be seen wearing one or have outdated perceptions of how they sound, but Starkey Hearing Technologies' AMP addresses these concerns. AMP is invisible in most ears, more affordable and is designed to sound great. Additionally, AMP's programming method makes fitting so efficient that patients can walk out the door wearing an AMP in a single visit.
AMP will be featured with the other prize-winning products July 3-29, 2012, in the exhibition, "Design on stage - winners red dot award: product design 2012," at the red dot design museum in Essen, Germany. With an excess of 1,500 products spread over an area of more than 4,000 m2, the red dot design museum houses the largest permanent exhibition of temporary design.
