Lafayette, IN -The Audiology Foundation of America (AFA) has received a $10,000 donation from Starkey Laboratories to support its mission to improve educational opportunities for audiologists.
The AFA promotes the Au.D. degree as the single designator for all audiologists, provides scholarships, supports AuD students via white coat ceremonies, promotes a Directory of Doctors of Audiology to consumers on its website www.audfound.org supports independent AuD program accreditation, and promotes the profession to academic counselors advising undergraduate college students as a viable choice for a rewarding career.
