Course objectives: This year’s seminar is designed for physicians and audiologists with a goal to improve skills in Vestibular Diagnostics and Management. At the completion of the seminar, the participant will be able to:
- Describe how VNG, VHIT, VEMP and Posturography contribute individually and collectively in the evaluation of patients with vestibular disorders.
- Discuss physiological explanations for atypical symptom sets in vestibular disorders in patients with visually induced dizziness.
- Summarize the development and use of malingering criteria in posturography assessment of the medical legal patient.
Seminar faculty
Art Mallinson, Ph.D. is a clinical assistant professor, division of otolaryngology, department of surgery, faculty of medicine at the University of British Columbia and neurophysiologist, Neuro-Otology Unit at Vancouver General Hospital in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
Michael Zoller, M.D., F.A.C.S. is the Otology Medical Director of the Center for Oto-Neurology at St. Joseph’s/Candler.
Registration: The cost of seminar is $375. Registration is limited to 50 participants so please register early. Registration includes continental breakfasts, lunch/snack on Friday/Saturday, bus transportation to and from St. Joseph’s Hospital, as well as Friday evening tour and dinner.
