Sonova announces appointment of Nicholai Dessypris as President Hearing Instruments, North America

Aurora, IL, January 10, 2025 - Sonova is pleased to announce a leadership change in its Hearing Instruments (HI) Wholesale North America business, as Nicholai Dessypris assumed the role of President on January 1, 2025. He is succeeding Sandy Brandmeier, who retired at the end of 2024 after a distinguished six-year tenure with Sonova and over 20 years of healthcare leadership.

Nicholai Dessypris brings more than 15 years of experience in the Healthcare/MedTech and IT industries. Most recently, he served as General Manager and Vice President, North America at LifeScan. Prior to that, he held several commercial leadership roles at GE Healthcare, including Vice President of Patient Monitoring. Nicholai joined Sonova in November 2024 and has worked closely with Sandy during a transition period to ensure a seamless handover of responsibilities.
