“Patients will rally around the impressive sound quality of the new Cheer line-up with three technology levels,” said Joseph A. Lugara, Sonic President & Chief Operating Officer.  “Cheer is an excellent reflection of Sonic’s mission to improve life with enhanced hearing for more people.  With Cheer, we continue to advance our goal of providing technology that keeps sound natural and improves speech understanding in noise - so everyday sounds better.”

Fit and Function for More Than Ever Before

Cheer’s four BTE styles feature contemporary designs, six colors and wireless connectivity.  BTE styles include the miniRITE and Nano BTE for mild-to-moderate hearing losses and the new Power BTE and Compact Power Plus BTE for severe-to-profound losses.  Cheer60 and Cheer40 models connect to the full spectrum of optional wireless accessories, linking to Bluetooth® devices including mobile phones, music players, PCs and more.  Cheer20 models offer the convenience of wireless Remote Control and FittingLINK connection.

Cheer also offers a wide range of custom styles from discreet IICs to power ITE models, with wireless connectivity available in many of the custom styles.

Sophisticated Technology Makes Everyday Sounds Better

Cheer is built on a strong foundation for individualized hearing aid fittings with amplification strategies that help make everyday sounds better.  Speech Variable Processing with Phoneme Focus rapidly adjusts gain to promote maximum audibility of all the fine details of speech.

New to the Cheer lineup is Envelope Focus, a slower wide dynamic range compression, designed for certain populations, considering age, high frequency hearing thresholds, and air-bone gap information.  With Envelope Focus, the contrast between loud and soft speech sounds is greater to preserve the natural amplitude variations of speech for better understanding.

Frequency Transfer works in conjunction with Speech Variable Processing to improve intelligibility for users with severe-to -profound high frequency hearing loss.  The two features work together to increase access to high frequency speech cues for enhanced audibility.

Cheer employs a variety of noise-reducing strategies that work to identify and reduce unwanted sounds.  Less noise means better speech understanding and greater comfort even in the most challenging listening situations such as restaurants and social events.  Speech Priority Noise Reduction gives priority to speech by keeping the offending noise at bay.  In addition, Adaptive Directionality helps users to focus on the person speaking in front of them in environments where other sounds compete for attention.

Preserving the intelligibility of speech while maintaining comfort is a key focus for Sonic, and it delivers in Cheer.  The Adaptive Feedback Canceller proactively monitors and removes offending feedback signals so users can enjoy squeal-free, easy listening.
