INNOVA line to debut at the American Academy of Audiology (AAA) Meeting
(Salt Lake City, UT) Sonic Innovations Inc., a leading manufacturer of advanced hearing aid products announces the upcoming release of Innova. Innova is a new high-end digital hearing aid line designed to offer unmatched consumer benefits and features. Innova will be launched at the upcoming American Academy of Audiology (AAA) Conference in Washington D.C. March 30th through April 2nd, 2005.
Innova is the first hearing aid ever to incorporate S.M.A.R.T. Technology. S.M.A.R.T. Technology is a breakthrough in digital hearing aid design that employs a suite of advanced systems that allow hearing aid users to seamlessly interact with their world. S.M.A.R.T. Technology is the result of extensive research in audio theory, the cochlear amplifier model, and digital signal processing for hearing aids. The result is a unique patented design that utilizes 16-channel wide dynamic range compression (WDRC) and employs very-fast acting time constants.
Building on the foundation of S.M.A.R.T. Technology, Innova offers advanced features expected in high-end digital hearing aids, including feedback cancellation, configurable directionality, and multiple program memories. Continuing SONIC's legacy of outstanding Noise Reduction algorithms, Innova features Adaptive Noise Reduction, which intelligently varies the level of noise reduction applied in different listening environments. Innova's most exciting new feature, DIRECTIONALfocus, provides unprecedented AI-DI measures of 11 dB through a revolutionary new form of patented adaptive directionality. Innova also provides a complete line of hearing aid models from Completely-In-The-Canal (CIC) to a new innovative Behind-The-Ear (BTE) product.
Innova product and software demonstrations will be available in booth # 145 at the AAA convention.
Sonic Innovations designs, develops, manufactures and markets advanced digital hearing aids designed to provide the highest levels of satisfaction for hearing impaired consumers. Capitalizing on its advanced understanding of human hearing, the Company has developed patented digital signal processing, or DSP, technologies and embedded them in the smallest single-chip DSP platform ever installed in a hearing aid. The Company believes its hearing aids set the standard for consumer satisfaction because they deliver more natural, localized sound and can provide for better speech intelligibility in the presence of background noise than competing hearing aids.
