45th annual colloquium of hearing healthcare-focused scientists and developers
Invited speakers presented research from all over Europe to 150 participants
Erlangen, Germany [3/22/18] — The more different disciplines cooperate, the more innovative solutions become. This is the reason why Sivantos Group, the manufacturer of Signia hearing aids, is dedicated to organizing and hosting the 45th annual Erlangen Colloquium in February, a meeting of hearing healthcare-focused scientists and developers.
Over the course of two days, invited speakers presented research results from London, Aachen, Oldenburg, Erlangen, Lübeck, Vienna, and Frankfurt. Topics included modern methods for evaluating hearing aids in real-life settings, binaural speech understanding, the natural perception of one's own voice, and new approaches to tinnitus management.
With 150 participants, the Erlangen Colloquium is intimate enough to facilitate numerous discussions, yet big enough to attract the hearing industry's luminaries. Again, this year, the conference offered inspiring information for each guest's own area of interest, as well as a look at the big picture in the field of hearing sciences.
