  •     Motion P is a super-powered addition to the primax hearing aid lineup
  •     New miniPocket and TV Transmitter accessories introduced

Signia continues to make its industry-leading primax™ technology available in more styles and degrees of hearing loss with the super-powered Motion® P primax, the popular behind-the-ear (BTE) hearing aid that is suitable for wearers with severe to profound hearing loss. Signia’s latest range of products including the Motion P and new miniPocket™ and TV Transmitter accessories are being showcased at the 61st International Hearing Care Professional Convention (EUHA) in Hannover, Germany.

Motion P is a super-powered BTE, now with primax technology

Super-powered Motion P primax joins Motion SX and SA to expand the Motion family of hearing aids on the primax platform. Suitable for those with up-to-profound hearing loss, Motion P is a powerful, yet small solution that meets the needs of hearing aid wearers who require every bit of audibility. Motion P is wireless CROS/BiCROS compatible and can be equipped with an optional battery compartment for direct audio input (DAI) via an integrated audio shoe.

Sleek and easy to use, Motion P elevates the dominant speaker above other sounds in a wide variety of speech environments using proven primax technology, enabling those with hearing loss to hear better in challenging environments and to do so with less listening effort*. It’s also IP-67-rated for resistance to moisture, sweat, dirt, and dust.

New accessories: miniPocket and TV Transmitter

Signia is also introducing two new accessories designed to further enhance the hearing aid wearing experience. miniPocket is the ideal solution for wearers who want discreet, convenient remote control of their hearing aids, but don’t have a smartphone. Reliable and easy to use, miniPocket is small enough to carry on a keychain, yet powerful enough to control all hearing aid essential features. The TV Transmitter connects televisions without Bluetooth® functionality to Signia’s easyTek™ accessory. Wearers can wirelessly stream audio from their TV directly into their hearing aids, allowing them to enjoy their favorite shows with ease.

Study conducted at the University of Northern Colorado, 2015, examined the effectiveness of the new features of primax by collecting and analyzing ongoing EEG data while subjects performed speech testing. For both primax features SpeechMaster and EchoShield, the objective brain behavior measures revealed a significant reduction in listening effort when the feature was activated.
