Siemens Hearing Instruments, Inc. held its 8th Annual Winter Symposium January 18-24 in Maui, Hawaii. Three hundred Hearing Health Care Professionals from throughout the United States attended the week-long symposium on the latest developments in hearing aid technology.
The symposium's educational program, approved for Continuing Education Credits from AAA, ASHA and NIHIS, was highlighted by workshops on the latest digital technology against tinnitus, a disorder experienced by nearly 50 million Americans. General sessions included updates on the recent advances in digital technology and software, Siemens innovative Pocket CONNEXX™ hand-held programmer, as well as assistive listening devices.
Following the educational symposium, many guests extended their stay in Hawaii, enjoying Siemens-sponsored events and tours on the island of Kauai.
Siemens is offering two international symposiums for 2002. The 13th International Symposium will be held in Budapest, Hungary and Vienna, Austria, June 24 - July 1, 2002. The 14th International Symposium takes place in Port Douglas and Sydney, Australia, July 18 - July 26, 2002. Information can be obtained through a Siemens sales representative.
