Siemens UK Launches Sustainability Initiative for the Recharging of Hearing Instruments

Retail campaign aims to reduce battery waste and eliminate fiddly replacement for users.

Siemens offers the widest range of rechargeable hearing devices on the market and to build on this accolade has launched a 'rechargeability campaign' running to the end of April 2012 for independent retail partners. The initiative will bundle a free eCharger with every binaural purchase from its rechargeable hearing instrument range across four performance levels.

Siemens Hearing Instruments has launched a 'rechargeability campaign' running to the end of April 2012 for retail partners.

Rechargeable hearing instruments are convenient and cost effective for consumers as batteries only need to be changed approximately once a year. This is a major benefit for the elderly or those suffering from sight loss as small, fiddly battery cells can prove a challenge to replace. Furthermore, an annual battery change produces far less disposal waste than a weekly change.

The eCharger itself is easy to use. The wearer simply has to place their rechargeable hearing instruments directly into the charger and this innovative product both recharges and dries the instruments overnight, giving the user peace of mind to just get on with their day with perfect hearing. When placing the instruments into the charger, they do not even have to turn them off or remove their moulds, life tubes or receivers.

To help audiologists and hearing professionals communicate these benefits to customers, Siemens is offering an exclusive campaign pack of marketing materials and point-of-sale items including leaflets, posters and a hanging window banner. Some collateral can be tailored to include contact details and company branding. To obtain a campaign promotional pack, please email carmen.ehret@siemens.com.
