Siemens Hearing Instruments recently showcased the latest advances in natural sound hearing technology via its range of products on the new micon™ platform at the BSHAA Annual Congress. Micon enables audiologists to offer clients over twice the processing power of previous solutions delivering up to 250 million instructions per second with the added benefits of up to 48 channels, 12 kHz bandwidth and directional speech enhancement.
Pure micon™ is inconspicuous when worn, and contains more features than any other hearing instrument of its size.
Delegates at the BSHAA Annual Congress enjoyed hands-on demonstrations of the Pure micon™ discreet RIC hearing instrument, an outstanding example of miniaturisation. The micon platform is enhanced by Ace, an even smaller RIC, Motion, Aquaris, Life and Insio, the new custom range.

During first UK evaluations of the new micon technology, audiologists highlighted the range’s excellent natural sound quality which could lead to many wearers forgetting about the instrument’s presence. Others noted its ease of use, as well as the more intuitive generation of Connexx fitting software and intelligently designed receivers for facilitated changing.
