Responding to popular demand, Siemens will offer two international symposiums in 2002. The 13th International Symposium - Old World Charm - will be held in Budapest, Hungary and Vienna, Austria, June 24 - July 1, 2002. The 14th International Symposium -New World Adventure - takes place in Port Douglas and Sydney, Australia, July 18-26, 2002.
Each symposium will include a different, but extensive, educational program so that participants will qualify for CEUs from AAA, ASHA and NIHIS, as usual.
According to Thomas A. Powers, Ph.D., Director of Audiology and Strategic Development for Siemens, the trips will continue the tradition of ''a great educational experience in magnificent surroundings.''
As always, participants are invited to extend their experience with exciting pre- and post-symposium destinations. Prior to Budapest and Vienna, guests can enjoy the resort town of Interlaken, Switzerland, June 21-25, 2002 and/or travel on to Istanbul, Turkey after the week-long symposium, July 1-4, 2002. Visitors to Australia can take advantage of a longer stay in the tropical paradise of Port Douglas by arriving a few days before the symposium starts, July 15-20,* 2002. Afterward, they can tour the ''adventure capital of the world,'' Queenstown, New Zealand, July 26-29, 2002.
Held in alternate years, this year's June symposium took place in Paris and Monte Carlo. The overwhelming popularity of the past symposiums was one reason Siemens decided to offer two trips for 2002.
