The 13th and 14th International Symposiums Combined Learning with Exciting Locales

PISCATAWAY, New Jersey -
Siemens Hearing Instruments recently hosted two international symposiums. Each symposium presented Hearing Care Professionals with the industry's latest technological developments. With an estimated 28 million Americans suffering from hearing loss, Siemens remains committed in its efforts to improve the lives of individuals with hearing loss, offering educational opportunities for Hearing Care Professionals and their families from around the world to learn about the latest advancements in hearing instrument technology.

Four hundred and forty Hearing Care Professionals attended the 13th (in Budapest, Hungary and Vienna, Austria) and 14th (Port Douglas and Sydney, Australia) International Symposiums. Among them was Mr. Gordon L. Stanfield of Audiology & Hearing Aids in Mississippi. Stanfield wrote to Siemens, "I am writing to express Anna's and my appreciation to Siemens for the recent Budapest-Vienna travel extravaganza [symposium]. This trip was, as advertised, entirely first class... It was a pleasure to notice that all of the participants were treated as equals. The single (office) clinicians, as well as the multiple office owners, were treated like royalty. Everything on the trip ran as smoothly as a Siemens instrument."

Symposium attendees participated in hands-on sessions with the newest advanced digital hearing instruments and programming software, hearing care practice software, and other related equipment for hearing care solutions.

This year's educational program featured the latest in directional microphone technology available today. Siemens TriMic™ is the world's first three-microphone directional technology, which is used to maximize speech understanding by providing the highest degree of directional improvement.

Participants in the symposiums received continuing education credits from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), American Academy of Audiology (AAA) and the National Institute for Hearing Instruments Studies (IIHIS).
