Siemens Hearing Instruments UK Continues Commitment to NHS

Share:

Hearing instruments and workflow innovations deliver efficiencies and positive user experiences to meet the evolving 2013 health landscape.

Siemens Hearing Instruments is proud to announce its continued support of the NHS with its innovative range of hearing instruments and audiology workflow solutions, delivering productivity and efficiency gains to NHS audiology departments. NHS providers such as East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust and The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, King’s Lynn NHS Foundation Trust are just two of many examples of where Siemens audiology solutions are in place.

 IMPACT Pro

The IMPACT Pro product range, on the NHS Supply Chain’s National Framework agreement, is one of many audiology devices and solutions offered by Siemens Hearing Instruments to improve user satisfaction and departmental productivity.

The innovative range of offerings both supplies and supports the NHS with the entire hearing patient pathway from audiology patient management systems and testing devices, to the latest in digital hearing instruments and fitting software – all designed to optimise time and deliver cost savings.

Workflow innovations designed for the NHS include UNITY 2, the efficient PC-based diagnostic and fitting system and the HearCheck Screener for rapid and accurate hearing screening in one minute. Additionally, workflow solutions continue to improve the standard of care provision by the NHS through the extremely portable Primus fitting system for PC based audiometry and Real Ear Measurements, suitable for audiometry in the fitting room, patient's home or bedside.

NHS providers require a wide selection of hearing instruments to suit the varying range of hearing loss suffered by individuals. The IMPACT Pro family of instruments is designed to enhance the perception of high quality sounds and ensures feedback is quickly cancelled. In addition Impact Pro has a less than 1% warranty failure rate, a robust housing design matched with ease of use and AutoFit which provides a high quality and highly efficient fitting with REM, saving up to 15 minutes per binaural fit. Discussions with one audiology department highlighted a potential £1000 plus saving per month due to AutoFit. These hearing instruments work alongside department systems to allow instant testing or fitting to optimise departmental efficiency and help quickly achieve patient satisfaction.

Mark Laben, Product & Marketing Manager at Siemens Hearing Instruments states, “As audiology departments seek to drive further cost efficiencies and increase the effectiveness of instruments to deliver improved quality of life to patients, it is important for organisations such as Siemens to keep delivering innovation and offering professional advice. We have successfully been working in close partnership with many NHS providers for decades and are dedicated to continuing to support the hearing pathway with advanced audiology products and a workflow suite that performs through testing to fitting.
