Siemens Hearing Instruments will be showcasing its range of NHS and retail products, innovations and audiology workflow solutions as a gold sponsor of this year's British Academy of Audiology (BAA) Conference, 10-12 November 2010 in Edinburgh.
On display will be Siemens' new IMPACT range, which is now available on contract to the NHS. The product family consists of behind-the-ear (BTE) devices, industry leading custom hearing solutions, plus a new receiver-in-canal (RIC) instrument that is the smallest housing offered to the NHS.
Siemens Hearing Instruments will showcase its range of innovative products and audiology solutions at BAA 2010 including its new IMPACT range, which is available on the NHS and compatible with Tek™.
Visitors to the Siemens stand will be able to learn about AutoFit, Siemens' new and highly accurate fitting technology package. AutoFit automatically and quickly adjusts the frequency response of a hearing instrument in order to achieve an exact match to prescriptive gain targets, which frees up scheduling time for audiologists.
Siemens representatives will also showcase Tek™, an innovative solution that uses Bluetooth® technology to wirelessly communicate sound between a hearing instrument and MP3 players, mobile phones, TVs, home stereo systems and other audio sources. Furthermore, delegates will have the opportunity to attend presentations and hands on demonstrations on Siemens' range of audiological equipment including UNITY 2, HearCheck Screener, HearLab, SD270 and MA33.
"Manufacturers need to support NHS and retail channels under growing pressure to provide a wide range of efficient and accurate audiology services," said Trevor Andrews, Managing Director of Siemens Hearing Instruments. "At BAA we will showcase our wide range of solutions that help streamline the entire audiology care continuum and reflect our commitment to be our customers' preferred partner of choice."
