Aspire Medical also Announced, a New Rebate Program for Healthcare Professionals

Piscataway, NJ, Oct 12, 2011 - Siemens Hearing Instruments, Inc. (SHI) today announced three new business development initiatives: the launch of the Aspire Online Portal, a series of national and regional business development workshops and the introduction of the Aspire Medical Program. These initiatives reinforce Siemens commitment to provide hearing care professionals with a program that surpasses any other in the hearing care industry.

Siemens focus is on extending tangible benefits through the rollout of the Aspire Online Portal and the scheduling of timely business development workshops. The online software platform offers a secure, central location for members to view account information, redeem points, track progress and access marketing co-op materials. The more than 15 annual regional, national and virtual workshops will focus on fostering growth and progress amongst Aspire members.

"Through Aspire, Siemens is providing substantial benefits directly to our customers, like free shipping, extended warranties, rebates, marketing support and a catalog of more than 300 audiology goods and services that can be redeemed according to individual practice needs," said Scott Davis, Chief Executive Officer, SHI. "We have converted close to 600 members since the inception of the Aspire program in May 2011, and with our continued commitment, we project to double membership by May 2012."

Through the workshops, SHI will teach more than 500 hearing care professionals business essentials, such as insurance, sales and front office training, metrics, marketing, branding and Internet utilization. An Aspire Rewards member who utilizes these key benefits will, on average, recognize a reduction in expenses up to 30 percent - all while receiving marketing support through co-op efforts and individual Business Development Consultants (BDCs).

"It is this high level of exchange that promotes growth, increases efficiency, fosters networking and promotes best practice knowledge in clinic management." Davis said.

The third initiative announced today is the Aspire Medical Program, a new rebate program similar in structure to the traditional Aspire program, with specifications that meet the unique needs of medical hearing professionals operating in university, hospital and non-profit settings.

"With Aspire Medical, we've taken Siemens expertise from the healthcare sector and applied it to the needs of the hearing care community," Davis said. "The program is one of a kind and offers medical professionals opportunities for growth like no other program - all in observance of compliance regulations and complete transparency."

Aspire Medical maintains the best-in-class benefits of Siemens Aspire Rewards Program, including a unique Customer Quality Assurance Guarantee and patient and practice benefits, such as priority turnaround time, increased discounts, complimentary batteries and extended warranties. Aspire Medical members also have access to BDCs, exclusive products, product training, a tailored Aspire Online Portal and earned points to offset clinical expenses.
