Siemens Announces its Newly Redesigned E-Form for Ordering Custom Instruments

Share:
Piscataway, N.J., Siemens Hearing Instruments announces its completely redesigned e-Form. As part its new e-business website, mySiemens, the totally new online e-Form increases the simplicity users experience by making custom instrument ordering quicker and easier than ever before.

The enhanced and more user friendly e-Form features a tabular format that makes it easy for Hearing Care Professionals to navigate quickly by categorizing the form into five main parts: Audiogram, Model and Amplifier, Options, Instructions, and Complete.

The first tab requires audiogram information. After entering one audiogram, the Hearing Care Professional can simply copy it to the other ear with one simple click to save time. The audiogram entered on one side will automatically be charted to the other side where threshold level adjustments can be made as needed.

The next tab, "Model & Amplifier" lets the Hearing Care Professional select the model and amplifier desired for right, left, or both ears. If the same model and amplifier are desired for the right and left ears, the Hearing Care Professional can simply check the "Binaural Synchronization of Instruments" box at the top of the form. This feature saves time by allowing Hearing Care Professionals to enter a selection once for both instruments.

"Options" is where features and accessories can be selected for the patient. Based on the audiogram, as well as the model and amplifier selected, the e-Form will only display "valid" choices ensuring the user selects only from a list of available options.

With the instrument, warranty, and service options chosen, proceeding to "Instructions" lets the Hearing Care Professional enter special instructions as well as choose from a list of standard notes such as Spanish user manual delivery, venting type change, canal length change, or battery size change if needed.

The final tab, "Complete" indicates the order is almost finished. The new e-Form affords Hearing Care Professionals the ability to enter promo codes right on the form eliminating the hassle of attaching coupons.

When all necessary information has been entered, Hearing Care Professionals can review their order for accuracy. The details of the order can be reviewed and changed if necessary. If the order is correct, the Hearing Care Professional can click on "Confirm," print the confirmation page, and ship it with the ear impressions.
