ReSound & Help America Hear Host Mission During AudiologyNOW! Convention

ReSound is collaborating with Help America Hear to provide hearing aids to 25 people in need during the annual AudiologyNOW! convention in Orlando, Florida.

Bloomington, MN, March 12, 2014https://www.gnresound.com – ReSound, a technology industry leader in hearing aid solutions, is partnering with the Foundation for Sight and Sound to host a Help America Hear mission during the annual AudiologyNOW! convention.

ReSound and Help America Hear, a program founded to help people with hearing or vision challenges, have been working together since 2010 to provide hearing aids and fitting services free-of-charge to those in need.

“The Help America Hear program is really a grass-roots initiative to restore hearing and improve quality of life,” said Kim Herman, president of ReSound.

25 people have been selected as "in need" based on the criteria specified by the Help America Hear program. They will receive ReSound hearing aids and fitting services free-of-charge during the convention, with support from the following resources:

  • Otometrics Audiology Systems will provide the Real-Ear Verification System
  • ReSound Global Audiology will provide fitting support
  • Karen Butler, Orlando Hearing Care Professional, will provide support to patients after the mission

AudiologyNOW! hosted by the American Academy of Audiologists, which will take place in Orlando, Florida from March 26 - 29, 2014, is the World's largest gathering of audiology professionals. The mission will take place on March 25, 2014 to take advantage of having these resources all in one place.
