ReSound Becomes Preferred Hearing Aid Provider for Tinnitus Practitioners Association

Share:

ReSound has entered into a partnership with the Tinnitus Practitioners Association (TPA) to offer ReSound Alera TS hearing aids to members through the Sound Solutions program.

Bloomington, MN, November 13, 2012 - https://www.gnresound.com - ReSound, a technology leader in hearing aid solutions, is now a preferred provider of hearing aids for the Tinnitus Practitioners Association (TPA) Sound Solutions program.

The TPA is a non-profit organization that provides practical education and training to audiologists in tinnitus and sound sensitivity rehabilitation. TPA Sound Solutions is a member benefit program that provides tinnitus products at group pricing rates.

"The TPA and its Sound Solutions program is designed to provide resources to recruit and educate hearing healthcare professionals in the diagnosis and treatment of tinnitus and related disorders," said Kim Herman, President, ReSound. "TPA members have access to ReSound Alera TS hearing aids at a special group price and a portion of those proceeds is designated to help the TPA further their outreach into the medical community."

"We chose ReSound as our preferred provider based on the flexibility of the Alera TS hearing aid to adapt to all current treatment programs for tinnitus," said Natan Bauman, Founder, Tinnitus Practitioners Association. "Alera TS provides varied Tinnitus Sound Generator signals and streams sound therapy directly to the hearing aid without the use of a body worn intermediary device, which is a huge benefit."

One of the goals of the TPA is to encourage allied professionals to seek care from hearing care professionals that have specialty skills in providing tinnitus treatment.

"Tinnitus affects 10 - 17% of the general population," said Herman. "It's a common problem and one that cannot be completely cured. By partnering with the TPA, ReSound hopes to increase public awareness of tinnitus and sound sensitivity rehabilitative services."

The next TPA education course will take place in New Orleans, Nov 30-Dec.1, 2012. For more information and to register, visit https://conta.cc/VVgpkx or contact Merideth Eldridge at (203) 823-0393 or tpa_merideth@snet.net.
