The Proceedings of the 1st International Conference, A Sound Foundation Through Early Amplification, Sponsored by Phonak in 1

Warrenville, IL - Phonak is proud to announce that the Proceedings from the extremely popular 1998 pediatric conference, A Sound Foundation Through Early Amplification, are now available. This conference offered a very timely insight into the amplification and maximal use of residual hearing for infants and young children. The book includes 24 chapters written by a team of international audiological experts. Ora Buerkli-Halevy, Phonak international coordinator explains 'The conference was heavily over-booked and the interest in this key subject was far greater than we had imagined. That is why we have published the proceedings, which will provide access to this important and timely information for those who were unable to attend the conference.'

This eagerly anticipated publication of the Proceedings has been edited by Prof. Richard Seewald Ph.D, University of Western Ontario, Canada, and covers a wide range of topics on pediatric habilitation. There are chapters by well-known clinical researchers such as Prof. John Bamford, Dr. Arthur Boothroyd, Dr. Fred Bess, Prof. Judith Gravel, Prof. Adrian Davis, Dr. Harvey Dillon and Dr. Patricia Stelmachowicz, among many others.
