Unique new BassBoost feature in Phonak BTE and custom power instruments across all price
Stäfa, Switzerland (October, 2006) — With its latest power range, Phonak is responding directly to the performance, cosmetic and budget requirements of power instrument wearers of all ages. A unique spectrum of performance features is being joined by the world-first innovation, BassBoost, in Phonak BTE and custom instruments in three different product lines - Savia Art, Eleva and eXtra. All of the Phonak power solutions have super-compact designs, providing an excellent size to power ratio.
BassBoost - Increased audibility and comfort for Savia Art, Eleva and eXtra
The new BassBoost feature adds amplification to both gain and output in the low frequency range. This added low frequency amplification is especially important for users with severe-
to-profound hearing losses. Thanks to BassBoost it is possible to optimize their audibility and loudness perception. It is available in all Phonak BTE 411 and custom 33P products. All Savia Art models come equipped with this unique power feature. Sophisticated iPFG technology enables easy, one-click upgrades of existing eXtra or Eleva hearing instruments. And since BassBoost is activated only as and when it is needed, significant battery power is also saved.
Practical performance packages
The Phonak power range brings new and proven performance and convenience features, well beyond pure power, to all price segments. For instance Wind and weather protection is unique BTE microphone protection to shield against moisture and dirt to ensure reliability. And EasyPhone offers automatic access to either acoustic or inductive phone programs when the receiver is placed near the hearing instrument. This feature is also compatible with mobile phones. All of the Phonak power instruments, including the custom models, function seamlessly with wireless communication systems to facilitate optimal hearing in challenging environments. Phonak offers the most comprehensive range of wireless products available, including the Universal MicroMLxS, the world's smallest receiver, and transmitters that integrate Bluetooth capability.
Effective pediatric solutions
The new Phonak power portfolio integrates Junior Line instruments specifically geared to the needs of infants and children with significant hearing loss. There is a choice of prescription formulae and child-friendly design features include pediatric size tone hooks for a perfect fit behind small ears, battery locks, selective activation and an extensive choice of colors. Young users of the Phonak power instruments can also benefit from the compatible FM systems, with the smallest receivers, and dedicated to developing their communication and learning skills.
