September 28, 2017 -- Phonak, the leading global provider of hearing instruments and wireless communication solutions, will demonstrate its highly-acclaimed Audéo B-Direct product to hundreds of reporters tonight at the Pepcom Holiday Spectacular! East press event in New York City.

The event marks the first time that members of the New York area consumer media will be able to experience the benefits of the Audéo B-Direct in person, including:

  • Built-in artificial intelligence from AutoSense OS, Phonak’s automatic operating system, which guides the signal processing to offer the best hearing performance in any environment.
  • Made-for-All (MFA) technology thanks to Sonova’s recently announced SWORD chip, capable of providing universal connectivity to any Bluetooth phone, including the first ever technology to connect to the vast Android market as well as the underserved classic flip-phone community.
  • Truly hands-free calling with automatic voice detection, allowing wearers to have hands-free conversations through their hearing aids without needing to hold up their phone to their mouth.
  • Unrivaled theater-like TV streaming thanks to AirStream Technology, the true Plug and Play solution that plugs into the back of TVs and streams high-fidelity audio in stereo to both ears.

“We are so excited to demonstrate the features and benefits of true Made-for-All technology to top members of the consumer press,” said Barb VanSomeren, Vice President of Marketing, Phonak U.S. “The excitement and interest we’ve received since the launch of Audéo B-Direct last month has been unprecedented. This is a wonderful opportunity for members of the media to experience first-hand just why this product is being so well-received by our valued customers and their patients.”
