Phonak Focus has been a respected source of valuable information for hearing healthcare professionals. The publication has contained articles and contributions from both Phonak experts and internationally renowned Audiological professionals.
The recently released issue number 36 is entitled "Insight into the status of children's hearing services and provision of new technology in six European countries." It is authored by Jane Woodward and Michel Hoen from Phonak Switzerland, Thomas Wiesner from the Werner-Otto-Institut in Hamburg, Germany and Andrea Bohnert from the University Hosptial for ENT in Mainz, Germany.
The authors surveyed pediatric hearing services in several countries to try and determine if advances in newborn hearing screening and in hearing technology have translated into improved clinical practice.
