Chicago, Illinois, Union Station, January 28th, 2005 -- Phonak Hearing Systems celebrated the introduction of Savia, the new flagship of their hearing system product portfolio, with a dinner and technical briefing at Union Station in Chicago, Illinois. Nearly 400 people were in attendance at the event, which featured presentations by Cathy Jones, Ora Buerkli, and David Fabry, and a surprise appearance by the product's namesake, Savia the Snow Owl.
Savia provides a new dimension in hearing performance, including an array of "World Firsts", including EchoBlock reverberation cancellation, DataLogging with User Preference Tuning, 20 Channel Digital SurroundZoom, Real Ear Sound and Sound Navigation with AutoPilot. Attendees were treated to an audio demonstration that enabled them to experience first-hand the superior features, and adaptability of Savia to acclimatize to a wide variety of real world listening environments. Phonak's new software platform, called iPFG Successware, was also unveiled. This advance fitting platform addresses the challenges of personalizing the hearing system to individual patient and mastering sophisticated features with an easy, intuitive software interface. iPFG Successware will serve as the software framework for all future Phonak hearing systems.
