Popular Demand Drives Schedule Expansion.
Schaumburg, IL. - September 25, 2013 – GN Otometrics, a world leader in hearing and balance diagnostic systems, announced today that it has added multiple cities and dates to its popular FittingNOW! Series 2013. Presented in conjunction with industry leaders, ReSound and Phonak, the FittingNOW! Series 2013 is now available to hearing professionals in Greensboro, North Carolina; Richardson, Texas; and South Bend and Indianapolis, Indiana in October; Cincinnati, Ohio in November; and Baltimore, Maryland and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in December. Previous seminars were held in Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Wisconsin throughout the summer.
“Since it was launched in 2012, the FittingNOW! series has been extremely well received because participants get solid, practical training and gain real skills that they are able to implement as soon as they get back to the clinic,” says Wendy Switalski, Au.D., director of audiology development at Audiology Systems and an instructor of the FittingNOW! 2013 Series. “By adding seminars to the 2013 schedule, we’re simply responding to this response as well as the requests from hearing heath care professionals around the country who are seeking to optimize the quality as well as the efficiency of the care that they provide to their patients.”
The FittingNOW! Series 2013 provides instruction and demonstrations that incorporate the latest technologies in hearing instruments. Participants are introduced to the evolving applications of wireless technology for ear-to-ear communication and connection to external audio devices. Additionally, verification and fitting techniques are presented that can be applied to meet the needs of various patient groups that are frequently seen in the hearing clinic. Instruction includes strategies for optimizing acceptance for new users of amplification and assisting experienced hearing instrument users who are challenged with transitioning to current signal processing.
The FittingNOW! Series 2013 is recognized by the International Hearing Society, the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA), and the American Academy of Audiology for continuing education units (CEUs).
