SOMERSET, NJ May 6 – Oticon, Inc. will engage hearing care professionals with OTICONVERSATIONS, a week-long series of webisodes designed to empower participants to gain new understandings, skills and tools on topics ranging from hearing and listening to optimizing soft sounds and tinnitus support. The short, informative on-demand videos run just 10 – 12 minutes each and capsulize timely discussions by Oticon subject experts and respected thought leaders in healthcare and related disciplines. The series begins on Monday, May 11 and runs through Friday, May 15.
“Our goal is to be ‘disruptive’ without disrupting the smooth flow of day-to-day practice routines,” explained Sheena Oliver, AuD, Vice President of Marketing for Oticon, Inc. “We wanted to change up typical online education to share the newest data on topics that are most relevant to practicing professionals. The single-subject mini-lectures are captured in engaging and informative 10-12-minute webisodes that can fit into even the busiest schedule. Practices can include them in team meetings to spark discussion or individuals can watch them on-the-go whenever their day allows.”
Each on-demand webisode distills key insights from Oticon’s most recent knowledge-sharing conferences. A new webisode will be posted each day for five days beginning May 11.
Julian Treasure, chair of the Sound Agency and author of Sound Business, will discuss Nine Ways Sounds Affect Us, exploring the effects of sound and its impact on health, productivity and relationships.
Psychologist Anne-Mette Mohr, director of House of Hearing and Interdisciplinary Healthclinic, Copenhagen, Denmark will share Insights on Working with Tinnitus Patients. Mohr will examine the psychological dimensions associated with tinnitus and hearing loss and the newest resources to help patients with tinnitus move forward.
Additional webisodes will look at strategies to help hearing care professionals better meet the challenges of a competitive marketplace. The short-take videos will focus on the newest technologies and tools, including BrainHearing™ technology and the Inium Sense platform, and new options for enhanced practice support that drives success for patient and professionals.
